RADON IN WELL WATER MITIGATION
Georgia

Background
Most people don't know that radon can be in their well water. Nor do they know that radon is not part of a standard well water test. We can do the test for your or you can pick up a radon test kit at your local UGA extension office.
Types of Systems - GAC & Aeration
There are primarily two types of well water systems, Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) and Aeration Systems. We only install Aeration Systems. The reason for this is because the GACs store gamma radiation that will inundate an area ~6 feet in all directions will radiation. These systems must be changed out periodically and we are not outfitted to deal with radioactive waste. Many water filtration companies install these not knowing the risk they put their customers and employees at. Also note that these systems are not a solution for wells with really high levels of radon.
Aeration Radon Systems
We are experienced with installing the aeration systems made by RadonAway. We have had 100% success rate with these systems. When properly installed, they provide up to 99% radon reduction.
Georgia DNR Called on Elite
Georgia DNR called on Elite to solve their radon problem at a historic site. A filtration company had made several failed attempts at solving the problem. Elite worked with DNR members to design/size the out building (made to look historic) for the system. Now visitors, onsite staff, and staff that live onsite don't have to worry about the radon problem anymore.
FAQs
Can you connect the sub-slab radon mitigation system to the well water mitigation system and vent through one pipe?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. We would not want to cross contaminate your fresh drinking water with everything being pumped from under your home.
